My name is Amelia. I'm a freshman at a liberal arts school in New York, and I am a researcher for the Real Food Calculator. I've been vegan since September of 2011 and vegetarian since somewhere around late 2005. I've been transitioning to a raw-food-based diet since the summer of 2012. I have been overweight and unhealthy my whole life, and have resolved to eat well in order to feel better morally, spiritually, physically, and mentally. I'm going to change the world one day, or maybe I already have.
A place for me to post my own recipes, as well as maybe a few “for future reference” recipes, or “I just made this-you should try it!” recipes by other people
A place for me to vent about vegan/nutrition-related things like “I’m getting so sick of people telling me I don’t get enough protein when I DO”
A place for me to answer/ask any questions related to veganism/healthy eating
A motivator to keep me on track, and hopefully my followers as well. I’ve gone through some pretty rough times trying to lose this weight, and part of me making this blog is to keep me going about this the healthy way. Even though it took me years to really see it, this is the most effective way to see results. It’s efficient, it’s cheap, and it lasts. What I’m getting to is that I’ve recently discovered what it’s like to feel hope, but I know what it’s like to not be there. I am more than willing to lend a helping hand to those of you who are not here yet. I’m not going to post on here about the worst of it. This blog is for me to talk about the best! But if you need help, as I’ve said, I’m here for you, one ask box message away.
Most of all, a place for no hate, where we can be vegan without being judged.
